PSYCHOSEXUAL AND RELATIONAL THERAPY
THEMES I WORK WITH
Psychosexual themes I work with include differing desire, lack of desire, kink, fear of intimacy, sexual trauma, sexual shame, difficulties feeling connected to sexuality, sexual compulsivity, non-monogamy, polyamory, asexuality, enhacing pleasure, asserting boundaries, communication preferences, painful sex and physical concerns.
Relational themes include relationship to the world, others and with self (set within the current political and societal context of 2026), difficult family or interpersonal dynamics, social anxiety, neurodiversity, attachment issues, identity issues and relationship communication issues (with friends, family or intimate partners).
MY APPROACH
My approach is neurodivergent and GSRD (gender, sexual and relationship diverse) affirming and I avoid assumptions of normatively. I have also specialised in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and I am a diploma certified trauma therapist. If it feels relevant and helpful, we may explore in the impact of societal, familial and cultural beliefs on sex and relationships.
IS IT HARD TALKING ABOUT SEX?
Starting can feel daunting. I will strive to put you at ease and create a relaxed, friendly environment. We will talk at your own pace and I will help you feel comfortable discussing any topics that may feel sensitive.
HOW CAN INDIVIDUAL THERAPY HELP WITH MY SOCIAL AND INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS?
With most clients, and especially with neurodivergent clients, the therapy space can be a useful space to figure out ways to communicate better and maintain positive relationships with people outside of the therapy room. These could involve role plays, creating systems to help clients maintain social connections or looking at practical tools to help you communicate clearly and calmly.
